Babicz Guitars rocking Croatia with 'GlosaArt'
Posted: 05/13/10 at 01:05PM

GlosaArt is a life project that started more than ten years ago, but only just came into being and started its breakthrough to the music scene. It is a project of two friends, Bernard Godeša and Sašo Ožbolt, who share their life mission: the necessity to change the delusional path of the global pop-art music, which strayed into big „personal“ crisis, because of the popular music industry. The music of GlosaArt is based on acoustic guitar (Bernard Godeša – Berni) and vocals (Sašo Ožbolt – Sale).

Subject:  KMC Music to launch North American Distribution of Babicz Full Contact Hardware
Posted: 03/26/09 at 06:05AM

KMC Music has been appointed the exclusive distributor to launch the North American and Latin American distribution of the new Full Contact Hardware by Babicz Design Ltd. The product is an entirely new bridge saddle system for solid body electric guitars and basses. Through the strategic alliance of Babicz and KMC Music the patent-pending technology will also be available for license for aftermarket and OEM products.

(L to R) Roger Hart, Director of Merchandising, KMC Music, Jeff Babicz, Paul Damiano, Sr. VP Sales & Mktg, KMC Music and Jeff Carano of Babicz Design Ltd.

The 'Full Contact Hardware' system (USPTO Provisional Patent # 61/206,015) offers “full contact” between the vibrating string and the body of the instrument. Subject:  Babicz technology on display at C.F.Martin's 175 year celebration

Photo above (l-r) Jeff Babicz, Babicz Guitars founder, Tim Teel, Director of Instrument Design for Martin Guitars, and Matt Artinger of Artinger Guitars, with the Martin/Babicz OMCRE display guitar at the new products area during the festival.

NAZARETH, PA- C.F.Martin, the iconic guitar brand which has played such an important role in the history of US guitar manufacturing, welcomed their legions of fans to a week-long event celebrating the company's 175th year in business. The event, held at the beginning of August in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, featured live performances, multiple displays and a keynote address by company CEO Christian F. Martin IV.

Babicz Guitars was honored in being invited to such a special occasion, and Jeff Babicz, President and CEO of Babicz Guitars was present to help represent the Martin/Babicz OMCRE guitar collaboration. The OMCRE model guitar was designed using the Martin ‘OM’ Orchestral Model body shape which includes a cutaway and Fishman Aura electronics. The guitar’s concept includes a Martin vintage look, combined with the contemporary Babicz ‘Continually Adjustable Neck’ (US patent no.7,157,634) technology for high performance.

To facilitate an array of playing styles, the Babicz adjustable neck (available on all Babicz guitars as well) allows for instant string height adjustments by the player. By inserting and turning an ordinary Allen key into the Trap Plate found on the back of the guitar, the neck is driven up or down increasing or decreasing the string action height instantly.

Martin Guitars are renowned for introducing innovative technology, such as X-bracing in the 1840s, the Dreadnought in the 1920s, the 14-fret neck in 1929, and herringbone purfling, to name just a few of their contributions to the world of luthiery.

The Babicz Design ‘Continually Adjustable Neck’ is a patented solution for instantly adjusting the string height or ‘action’ of a stringed musical instrument by the player, without altering the neck angle or pitch. A quick turn of the Allen key allows the player to set the action to their exact preference in seconds -without de-tuning. Another benefit to the Babicz system is the neck is unattached to the soundboard of the guitar, allowing the top to vibrate more freely and adding long term stability to the overall guitar.

For more information on the OMCRE model, please contact: C. F. Martin & Co. 510 Sycamore Street, Nazareth, Pennsylvania 18064 Tel: 610-759-2837 Fax: 610-759-5757 Email: info@martinguitar.com www.mguitar.com
